Diving With a Local - Point Whitney
Переглядів 1053 місяці тому
It had been decades since my last experience diving - and that was in a tropical environment. Who knew that it would be fun to dive just down the road at Point Whitney in Brinnon. Thanks to Katherine O'Leary-Cole from Pallin' Around Charters and Ashley Arnold from Jade Scuba for making this possible. www.jadescubaadventures.com people/Pallin-Around-Charters-Hood-Canal/

Everyone was hit hard by the pandemic. Making goofy videos of with a tech-aided social isolation band playing policy parody songs is how I coped... or failed to. The songs dates itself back to the middle of 2020 with reference to R-Naughts and Phase 3 - it seems like so long ago, and yet seems so current. It is to the tune of the folk song Cluck Old Hen. This was one of the first songs I played...

It might not be automatic for all candidates, but one of the first things I think in a new campaign is... let's write a song! So, I got the Pandemic Band back together for one more shot. Here is a song for the primary as I run for re-election as the Jefferson County District 3 Commissioner on the Olympic Peninsula. I put subtitles on it for clarity, but here are a few notes to dive deeper and a...
The Quilcene School Bond Vote is April 26th

Jefferson County Community Forestry

We hear a lot of concern over many forest practices that we at the county don't control. One thing we can do is pilot innovative and triple bottom line programs like the Community Forestry program highlighted here and help to forge a new path of sustainable and resilient forest management. this program doesn't clearcut, doesn't use glyphosate, and generates less revenue than standard forest pra...

I made this social commentary parody of the great Rolling Stones song, Paint It Black, in an attempt to get the Jefferson County Board of Health to go along with looking at some low cost, low water, on-site sewage options. The technology failed me in presenting it. I presented the video with very bad color correction, and no one agreed. It was an epic fail, but I haven't given up on lowering ba...

      Germeau’s point was loud and clear, and I’m sorry you missed it….he said *he’s never going to try to involve himself in looking for or trying to photograph Sasquatch ever again.* He lives on an island, *and the Sasquatch knows where he lives.* It’s so damned easy to give directions for “next time” to people who’ve been in situations where they think they’re gonna die, as though they got secret photos of a celebrity or something instead of an _enormous_ Sasquatch, but what we’ve seen is soul shaking, life changing terror, OK?? I didn’t see a Sasquatch, but I was rooted to the ground in utter primal terror of what I was seeing 15-20 feet away from me. Believe me when I tell you, _THERE WAS NEVER GOING TO BE A “NEXT TIME,” for me, and I’m sure I can speak for Germeau, too!!_

    I have been in this exact scenario as far as the feelings and sensory overload being experienced in this incident and it stopped way short of what transpired here. Ofcourse I will never know but in a way I'm glad it happened that way. The sound of aggravation that was mentioned may be something not heard by those that would be a subject in an episode of Missing 411. Subtle warnings and sounds may have been just enough to display that they would let one walk today. What was an eerie moment could have been a worse moment, or not. Theres no way of knowing just yet or is there?

  • @bfboobie

    I don't know if it's infrasound or pheromones or 'mindspeak' or something weirder, but it is real. I had a similar experience in Wyoming and it was the most terrifying moment of my life. I was fumbling for car keys while running and thinking I might not live if i can't get to the car and speed away fast enough. The thing stopped at the edge of the woods and I don't think it was going to actually harm us. They are just really good at intimidating people. Not sure the mechanism of how they do it, but it is a deep, primal, dread that we feel. Surely a survival instinct, and probably a good idea to listen to your gut in these types of interactions when they clearly don't want you there. Fortunately they seem to be mostly harmless. Even when they throw rocks and limbs, they never actually hit the person but nearby like at their feet. I think they just want to avoid contact with us, and maintain their privacy. They don't seem to want us to find their homes or disturb their families. Their home is the outdoors.

    71 years and no issues, we can wait for a better bond. It is needed, but this bond costs too much. Oakville is building a 14,600 sq ft school building for $4.6 million. Wa state will fund $1.4 million. Which means tax payers should be on for $3.2 million max. $12.3 million + interest is $18,711,000. We’ll pay more in interest than Oakville for the entire building... this bond is a joke and Steve is the one pulling wool over the eyes of Frank and the school board and staff. Steve benefit$, we don’t get a bond... we get Bondage.

  • @jeremylakenes6859
    @jeremylakenes6859 2 роки тому

    Still waiting for 31% state funds to drop the bond price down to $8.4 million. Why front fund the whole project if it won’t be built in two years anyway? If QSD front funds the whole project through the bond, will the $3.8 million from the state be used to pay down the bond? It would save us $3.8 million in principal and $2 million in interest.

Humans want to belive that the physical is it. However, those that are awakening the sprititual veil is being lifted. I'm not sure if I would call his encounter a blessing but he's surely awake now.
